Jazz is now only on the last Saturday of every month, and our ale offering has now increased to 6 hand pulls with abbot as the house ale. Please also note we are now closed on Monday's untill 6PM and all day Tuesday, the pub is available for private hire on Tuesdays. We also now have our very own bouncy castle available upon request for parties.

What a change! Not only has the old nag been refreshed..it must be the ale..but the licensees are refreshing in their welcome...whilst normally I do not like kids in pubs they are not too obvious...a small but tidy garden with a good food offer and an ever changeing range of beer, (maybe one too many for the level of trade?)..quality recognised by a recent cask marque award..we can only hope that their enthusiasm is not crushed by Punch's corporate hand.BQ 8.5

Moorhouse Premier, Bath Barnstormer, Coach House Cheshire Gold and Bishop's Finger tonight. Had the first three which were all very good. On last visit they only had one ale which was a bit disappointing but if they keep up to this standard then I will be in here lots. Up a mark based on tonight.

A small pub just outside Epsom Hospital. A pub I didn't used to like because I felt that it was too clichey. However it is now under new management who are promoting it as a real ale pub. It is planning a beer festival on May Day weekend. It has an awkward shaped lounge which makes poor use of the available space and is dominated by the bar which can be difficult to get to when it gets crowded. It has a fine range of real ales, including some from unusual breweries. There are 2 large leather sofas at the front of the pub but the rest of the seating is fairly basic. It is does a good range of food but I haven't tried any. The atmosphere is now completely changed and is well worth a visit.

Looked on this site for a post 'Chessington' pub for a decent meal. The food was excellent, not many pubs do homemade tartare sauce and handcut chips. We took my 6yr old and although this isn't a typical kids pub, he was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed his homemade pizza and chocolate and orange sponge very much, also the kinder egg that the barman produced for him at the end of his meal! A clean, friendly pub, excellent food and service, we will be back!
