A little bit dire - full of strangely behaving old men in the main. Didn't feel comfortable there the other night even tho the service was ok and my wine was the most chilled in the High St groovychick - 23 Feb 2009 17:47
Was in the area and feeling for a couple of pints of the fantastic London Porter. It was promptly served up in excellent condition, as you would expect from any Fuller's tied house. We left an hour or so latter with our spirits raised, the place having served its precise purpose. The Whistle And Flute is hardly the greatest pub in London (or even Putney for that matter), but for a few relaxed pints you could do a lot worse. Misk. - 20 Dec 2008 17:16
Half Esb then half London Porter. Alert but rather false barmaid. Empty at lunchtime. Did not get the impression of anything special southfields - 20 Dec 2008 12:37
I came here for Halloween and had a great night. The staff had made a real effort with the decorations and fancy dress - they even had a pumpkin carving competition! Hopefully they'll do it again next year! doubleyolk44 - 5 Nov 2008 17:10
Excellent place. Ideal mix of people - Sky sport and food can happily mix. Too packed on big games days for my own comfort, but others will find that ok so use it after work for a couple and its ideal for that with plenty of seating and you can sit/stand at the bar. Very good manager who deserves credit from his bosses, and the rest of the staff are also very good. Hopeflly it should contine like this. daisy1 - 21 Oct 2008 19:15
