Called in here yesterday after a trip to the next door Woodfordes Brewery. The beer as you would expect was excellent being poured straight from the cask. The only gripe was the price which at about £3-35 for the Sundew I felt was a bit excessive, however it is a cracking pub in a lovely setting. Well worth a visit.

The Fur And Feather is a beautiful village pub, thatched roof, pond in the front garden and wooden beams inside, along with a lovely bar made from what appears to be a single slice from a very large tree. I cannot comment on the menu other than the delicious steak and kidney pudding served by friendly staff, highly recommended.
For me, the only downside was the price of the Ale, on average 40-50 pence per pint higher than similar ABV ales I usually drink, although the standard of the beer is excellent.
The brewery and shop is situated to the rear of the pub, and the shop is full of goodies to take home.

Sorry but I can't recommend this pub. We arrived at 12.30 on a Saturday having booked a table in the restaurant. It. Took at least 15 minutes to get staff to check what table we were on. Their attitude was that it was too much trouble. Clearly they were very busy but a smile is not too much to ask. We found our own table and menus and sat down. After 15 minutes we were told that we had to order at the bar. It would have been helpful if staff had said this when we arrived. We were able to order some food but the staff had wrongly placed an order for starter size meals not main courses. This was sorted out by the one decent member of staff. Meal was ok. Beer was good as I would expect. Dirty glasses were a nice accompaniment. As locals, we will not be going here again.

We were regulars here for meals over the last few years called in for a meal on thursday evening, the pub wasn't very busy only around four tables and two had finished and one was then finishing, the lady took our order without so much as a smile and our food duly arrived, along with chef shouting at his staff that the other table were only having the £ 15 for 3 course offer so they were being to generous but they weren't that polite! whilst the waitress brought us a tiny ketchup to share we thought she would return oh boy we were wrong when we were nearly done she returned and asked the is everything ok i started to say no but she's busy walking away so i ask for another round of drinks and she replies drinks are available from the bar! i kid you not ive been in cafes and had better service so we didn't even bother with the complaints about the food but we won't be back
