| Visited this pub the other when I had an hour or so to kill in Par before catching a train. Literally over the road from the station, I found the pub welcoming and friendly, with a pleasant atmosphere. Being from East Anglia I ignored the two guest ales (Greene King Abbot and Old Speckled Hen - I can get those anytime) and went for a couple of pints of Sharp's Doom Bar, which I can only describe as faultless. A few people were a little miffed that no food is served after 14.30 even on a weekend, however that is only a small gripe about what is otherwise a pub well worth a visit. amosbriz - 21 May 2009 02:04 |
