No real ale when I was there on 5th October. Place was virtually empty.

good pub, used to be called the albion. was likened to an 18th century gin house but it wasn't that good. the rambler now, however, is a very popular pub and well frequented on weekends. be prepared to wait a while to be served. always the sign of a good pub
