I've been in this pub a few times but only midweek. The pub has got a nice feel to it, a range of customers and although it's got a pool table there wasnt any sense of trouble! I like this pub chipstick - 23 Aug 2008 15:37
A nice old traditional street corner pub, which is strangely lit up by candles. A nice pint, but not the best of attitudes behind the bar. Good quiz on a Sunday. flagship - 19 Aug 2007 12:46
could be a good pub, but they let chavs in. Barman almost started a fight with a mate of mine when he complained that his drink was flat, cue harsh stairs from the locals all night JockStrap - 24 Sep 2005 22:09
A locals' pub, and young locals at that. Sundays are OK, with roast dinners and a quiz night. For the rest of the week it's OK for a quick drink, but nothing more. I don't want to knock it, but if this pub just tried to broaden its appeal slightly it could be so much better. anonymous - 16 Apr 2005 13:48
