Hadn't been in Bath for several months. Used to pop into Rising Sun in the past, as we generally park down the road from there. Last time I was in Bath, it was shut. Now it seems to have re-opened under new management, and it has a really good feel. Smart, but retaining a local feel. Celtforapint - 30 Sep 2008 14:39
Went one evening and it was full of toff 6th form kids. Not enjoyable! Another time it was full of Bath rugby supporters who were in there after a game. Again, not enjoyable! Went one afternoon and I was the only person in there. Bliss! mattbeer - 11 Aug 2008 00:28
A typical city "locals" pub. Friendly staff, skittle alley, etc and a very central location. pubscouter - 12 Sep 2007 00:11
Calls itself the friendliest pub in bath, but i wouldnt go that far- its nice but nothing special. Darts and skittles out back and a very rugby feel. Pultney arms up the road is a better bet, but this is better than the Boater opposite. lg06111985 - 4 Sep 2006 23:07
