Loos are now fab. Tastefully decorated and don't smell of urine like a lot of pubs. Beer well kept and pub grub is more than adequate. Previous poor reviewers should return.

Not much to say about this one. It was 10 o clock on fridy when me and my two girly friends went in here. It was a bit busy but the layout (u walk in and there's about 4 feet of space before you get to the full width bar) made it seem packed. the pavement outside was full of people drinking and smoking. It took 15 minutes to get served, cos no other customers would let us through to the bar. In the end we had to shout thru three people to place an order. my white wine was warm, and within 3 minutes of getting it, we were being accosted by a drunk local, no one seemed to care. Not friendly. Not nice for girls. Had a glance at a menu but it was over-priced compared to what we'd had, and they said the restauarant was in the cellar. My sister's claustrophobic so that well out! 'A locals bar for men'

One of the only two decent pubs left in Arundel. Always a graet pint of Harveys here but I do wish they would embrace a guest ale policy!

Both the street and the pub show unmistakable signs of gentrification. Appearing to have undergone a relatively recent refurbishment, the largish L-shaped interior of the Eagle can perhaps be described as ‘trendy-traditional’. There is much un-scrubbed wood, a real fire surrounded by distinctively blackened bricks, and some of the thirty-something-year-old customers may well have patronised the wine bar across the street before it closed down. Nonetheless, all this makes it a comfortable place in which to sup my half of Harveys Sussex Best Bitter (£1.20), which is in good condition. Fullers London Pride is also on offer.
