| Posted by Burp "and the prices are getting silly (£3.90 for a glass of Chardonnay)." I will never quite understand how any pub in this day and age gets away with this sort of price. Perhaps it's the Castle and associated tourism that gives license to daylight robbery. At least Dick Turpin had the decency to conceal his identity by wearing a mask when he robbed his 'customers' ! Visitors, go, enjoy the castle and cathedral as they are both superb but it's best to choose carefully where to eat and drink. No rating left as I've not been in the Swan for ages. | Still probably the best all round pub in town but it's not as good as it used to be and the prices are getting silly (£3.90 for a glass of Chardonnay). Good selection of decent beer & good atmosphere. Burp - 27 Apr 2008 07:36 |
| It was ok. Not busy on a friday. Drinks were reasonable value but there was a funny smell in the bar! No one seemed to know what it was. Good looking menu, but seemed expensive as my sister says they get regualr deliveries from frozen food people. Staff friendly. No atmosphere. Looked clean. jennybehave - 12 Mar 2008 16:53 |
| Very smart pub in the centre of Arundel that I visited on 28/04/07. I had a cheese & brie backed potato with a pint of Fullers IPA of which came to £8.90. The toilets were clean and the staff friendly. Interior is a mixture of traditional and modern decor with a large screen showing Sky Sports. I've marked this 8 out of 10 - I would recommend a visit... wezmiester - 30 Apr 2007 21:11 |
