| Great pub with a nice atmosphere. Popular with students so gets a lot of big groups in the student season. It does have a dedicated assortment of regulars too, so it has a nice mix of punters. Scholars has two real ales, Reverend James and Speckled Hen. Fairly average prices, but the beer is well kept and the staff friendly. | Awesome bar, spend a lot of my time here. Quid for a bottle of grolsh, decent enough pool table, and quiet in the day, students heaven. not a great place at night, but for a quiet pint, one of the best pubs in town demitrius - 6 Jan 2007 20:39 |
