Once upon a time this was run by a Jim Bowen sound-alike and it is still super and smashing and lovely. Please support this pub with its nice beer and owners. steppedup - 20 Mar 2010 01:10
Others who have seen my reviews know they can be scathing, but how I wish this was my local. I've now eaten here three times with others giving a total of over twenty starters, main courses and puddings and each of the meals have been great pub grub. The atmosphere of the British pub is unique and if I had to direct a tourist towards something that unpretentiously meets all that is good of a modern independent local in historic setting I would be happy to point them in the direction of Ye Olde Green Dragon. - St8tsman St8tsman - 21 Feb 2010 16:19
I ate here last week and the food was great, the restaurant area has been recently refurbished and is so much nicer than it was. Knickerleg - 3 Sep 2009 12:08
New owners have been here since June and started doing great food. Recently awarded Cask Marque for beer Knickerleg - 11 Mar 2009 16:36
This pub has really changed - there is a new landlord and landlady in situ and they are really changing things for the better. No jukeboxes ( but they do have background music) , no tv and no slot machines - exactly what a local country pub should be. The friendly atmosphere and welcome you receive, makes it worth a visit - not to mention the beer! parr6 - 1 Dec 2008 11:10
