Great country pub. Lovely garden for sunny days and two very traditional bars with log fires for winter nights. Beer well kept and food freshly prepared with local ingredients. Definitly worth visit!

I come to this pub every Friday lunchtime (and sometimes on other days, too) and can honestly say that this is a gem of a pub. It has chocolate box cottage character, the staff is ever so nice, the beer is good and so are the wines, which impressed me the most. Usually you don't find good wines, let alone good house wines in a pub because the focus is on beer.

The food is great, too, posh cheese on toast (goats cheese on ciabatta with a balsamic glaze) is one of the dishes they offer amongst the biggest burger I've ever come across (and it's a proper burger with all the right trimmings like tomatoes, gherkins etc.), tender lamb shanks (sourced locally), fish and chips and other small dishes like roast beef baguette with horseradish or roast pork with apple sauce.

There is a huge beergarden outside, framed by roses and trees.

Dogs and children are always welcome!

Very nice country pub.

Stopped here for a quick one, before starting a Kemsing Station to Kemsing Village via North Downs Way walk.

Another dog was creating a bit of fuss with non stop high pitched whimpering towards our dog. Sadly this went on for the duration of most of our pint. As a result, never really got a chance to take in the decor/atmosphere of the place.

Enjoyed what little I did see, and would gladly go back for a more relaxed visit.

I didn't see it myself, but my girlfriend told me that the dining room, on the right side of the building looked very very nice.

What a breath of fresh air at last a superb old country Inn with warming log fires and cosy interior, four of us went for a sunday lunch and had the best food Ive had for ages, real ale and good selection of wines, served by kind friendly staff. Excellent will go back very soon.

Lovely country pub with cosy bars and log fires for the colder days. Super beer garden with loads of tables and room to sit outside. Apparently new tenants have just taken over and have plans to develop the food offering. Will definitely be back to sample the menu! Great English country pub!
