Called in the other day for the first time in a long time. Nothing much changed usual stares like I had two heads. 3 real ales on offer nothing new there. Rather bad stale smell not sure if it was the pub or the customers! TV on in the corner blaring out some pop music obviously instead of a decent background music system. Oh well it changes hands shortly maybe the cleanliness will improve and it will not be so unfriendly.

Good beer and good looking food, Sunday lunches and Thai specials on Monday nights. Much better.

Popped in for lunch twice this week, nothing fancy, just good honest pub grub at excellent prices. The local "Bob" is not to my taste (I do like to try the local ale when visiting different areas) but they had Sharpe's "Doom Bar" (whoopee - best beer in the world) and "Otter" on. They also occasionally have St Austell's "Tribute" (also best beer in the world). I also note from another post that they also sell "Bays" and "Dartmoor", so the Devon and Cornwall breweries are well represented here. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the ale well kept. Will be calling again next time I'm in Tewkesbury.

Best pub I tried in this town to be honest, friendly, good ale at fair prices and excluding lounge area felt like a local.

Popped in back in July,Wickwar BOB,Bays Gold & Dartmoor Best were on offer of which I opted for a reasonable pint of BOB @ £2.85pint. More of a restaurant than a pub though which i think lets it down although it seemed quite popular, 6/10
