Was worried I wouldn't make it to this pub as it didn't open till 5pm, but was so glad I went towards the end of my Norwich crawl. Found a couple of Tindall beers and enjoyed the conversation with the landlady and one of the locals who knew my old stomping ground at Hartlepool. Great atmosphere and great beer. gillhalfpint - 30 Oct 2007 08:28
One for the locals and why not? The small public bar was full of customers in conversation rather reminiscent of the hum from a beehive! In contrast, the lounge was virtually empty in spite of the comfort offered by the biggest number of leather “Chesterfield” sofas that I have ever seen in one pub – six in all- two of them six-seaters. Good range of real ales with two from local Wolf brewery plus one from Tipples (another local) and three from elsewhere. Unfortunately not really within easy walking distance of Norwich centre but it does open all day till late. Alerover - 29 Aug 2007 21:36
Nice pub with good beer. Had first beer festival this year which was spot on. Left my festival glass there so landlord gave me his spare. Good man. Will definately visit again to sup ale on the biggest collection of chesterfields I have seen in a pub. trekman - 24 Jul 2007 22:58
Cracking freehouse with superb collection of ales. Visited for first time Sunday just gone (though knew of it's reputation for long while), where they had a mini beer-festival (their first) in their garden. Friendly people, nice bright and individual decor inside pub - cracking pub, and not too far from The Fat Cat and plenty of other excellent pubs this side of the city. GingerBear - 5 Jun 2007 11:42
Decent enough local but wouldn't travel far to get to it. The_Man - 3 May 2007 20:12
