| This place really isn't as bad as some of the reviews below suggest. It is a little bit expensive I agree, but that's probably because it's a table service. | I am amazed that this place has been given such bad reviews. I have always felt welcome and found the staff to be very helpful, professional and friendly. I live in Brixton and find this bar to be a real haven. Food is fine, cocktails good, atmosphere lively. It is expensive but I think it is worth it as you almost always get a table and don't have to move from your table to get served. Go with an open mind. theferret - 25 Feb 2006 20:05 |

| Had a few good evenings here - the cocktails and selection of beers are very good. Downsides are food - quite dreadful. If you want some tapas better to go to No.22 in Herne Hill or to one of the many of the Portuguese, Spanish and South American places in Brixton and Stockwell. Also service charge - we were made to feel very uncomfortable when we chose not to pay the full and I might add optional 13% after a night drinking there - I might add we had spent over a £100 quid on drinks and left a tenner - quite reasonable I thought. anonymous - 4 Oct 2005 16:21 |
