| A pub that should have so much potential. Thatched roof, low ceilings, rustic and an open fire. A small choice of ale, but in keeping with the majority of the clientel, more lager oriented. Such a shame about the staff. A little training there wouldn't go amiss. Things such as how to smile occasionally, politeness and to remember that the customer as important might help. With a manager who took my order by jerking his head and saying 'yes mate' and a girl who looked at me as if by asking to be served, I had just ruined her day, I'm not sure quite why this pub seems so popular! | Attractive looking Black & White Thatched Building with sep Function Room. Unhelpful serving staff and much of the (mostly male) clientele seem to have an affinity with the useage of the "f" word at every opportunity. Shame! beerybrummie - 23 Dec 2008 21:00 |
