Don't let the outside fool you inside lies a a really good pub. Great staff and a good atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop in.

This place looks so appalling from the outside (I have uploaded a photograph so discerning pub devotees can see what I mean) that I just had to drop in to see if it was a case not judging a book by its cover. Actually it wasn’t as bad as I feared, but it wasn’t good either. I have been to Government canteens with more character – it had a gloomy and dismal feel to it. A Thai menu is displayed on the outside wall. There were a couple of ales on (I have forgotten what they were - nothing special), but I stood at the bar for a short while and as nobody appeared to serve me, my desire to get back to London Bridge got the better of me and I left.

Don’t be put off by the exterior (or indeed the area), this is a great place. It’s very spacious yet cosy at the same time with favourable clientele. It’s a surprisingly large pub as well considering how small it looks from the outside. If you’re in the area it’s worth popping in.

Strange looking place but not too bad. Abbot was OK. Lots of tables and chairs none of which seem to match.

Pool table and table football.

Probably one for the younger clientele but better than expected.

Re: comment below, I think I was one of those people. Beer is fine, food is good with generous portions and it's nice to sit outside in the summer. Much of the clientéle, like me, either work or study at Guy's.
