| Located opposite the castle. It had recently re-opened after a complete refurb and still smelt of fresh paint. It has been tastefully decorated with comfortable seating. It had 2 Banks' beers; Mild and Bitter plus Marston's Pedigree. The mild which was very nice looked and tasted like a normal session bitter. | Although the beer quality warrants its inclusion in the Good Beer Guide, the range of beers wasn't very adventurous - the promised guest beers probably coming from the same Marston's range.
