A great pub. Used to go in there decades ago and sit on the seats in the massive fireplace in winter. Visited it again a couple of weeks ago... very friendly and welcoming.

Pub open but in the process of refurbishment - I'm assured it won't affect it's character. Lovely place to stop when walking the Canal or Chiltern Way. Delicious Thai food very good value at lunchtime.

The Thai food was excellent, Service Good, esp. for a late Saturday lunchtime, London Pride was average+(lively), (didn't try the others but all were on). What more can one ask for after walking from Ivinghoe Beacon?
My first visit - live near Reading. June 2007 +agree with others. and yep, the Gents is still being modernised ;)

Close to the Grand Union Canal and on the A4251 this old inn, which I believe used to cater for the cattle trade in days of yore and possibly a coaching inn as well, is now a Thai pub and serves the ubiquitous Abbot Ale, Green King IPA & London Pride. The Abbot was well kept and the Thai menu inviting but untried. The toilets however have seen better days, just hope the ladies were in better nick! Still undecided about this place and will revisit on a day where punters outnumber the staff and barmaid not expectorating loudly in the back garden! Will give it a cautious 5/10 for present.

A good pub & an even better place to eat, the Thai meals are superb & totally authentic.

The staff are as friendly as you are ever likely to find.

A great pub to take the kids/family as the beer garden is huge & jam packed with things to keep the kids busy while you enjoy your hard earned pint(s).
