| Have just read the last comment and would like to say "cobblers"!! The Red lion is a friendly pub and I've not once had a flat beer. The landlady is a friendly, chatty person and tries to make everyone feel welcome. The food is great and reaonably priced. Havent seen any villians yet, well, none that have admitted to it!! All in all a friendly pub, with pool table, Juke box etc....and NO FIGHTS!! unlike some of the pubs in town...I can only wonder if Smurfaroo who left the last comment had been banned or had a bad hair day!!! dippydon - 6 Nov 2006 13:52 |
| Unfortunately due to a management change, this pub is now a pit. Nicknamed 'Mos Eisley' because it's a hive of scum & villainy. The service is awful (generally the landlady is too busy talking with her mates), the pool table is uneven, the glasses are dirty and the real ale is VERY poorly kept. Worst pub in Witham.
