| Old pub, nice bit of space inside, especially the left side which is homely (especially at xmas). Beer quality is not the greatest, but they do stock some beers not found elsewhere. Regulars are yobs - witnessed a few racial/religious comments against a mate for being muslim (which he's not), bar staff ignored it, though one of his mates stopped him once he realised my mate was sikh, so not all bad. | I walked past this place a few times on my visit to Reading earlier in the year and just felt it wasn't really the sort of place that a non-regular would be welcomed. | This pub has a quality jukebox, a polite range of bar staff yes ok the pub is old and dirty and dusty but so are all old pubs in reading at christmas this pub shines, all the beer lines are cleaned and they have 2 ales on if there not on then the lines are bein cleaned but this has got potential and is 1 of the best reading pubs bcfcDarren - 6 Nov 2008 18:49 |
