The kebab shop accross the road does a great 'special', donner meat and chips. used to be 80p. Probably gone up now. last time I was there the land lady was telling Joey Bennet to fuck of coz he was barred. chucknorris - 9 Dec 2007 21:27

i agree with most of the comments made,it could be a very nice pub. It's big , it has the biggest garden i've seen in the area, a great conservatory where the kids can enjoy themselves and make friends (and gives parents a bit of piece). The real shame is that the manageress is rude, can be standing by the bar with a pint and not even aknowledge the paying customer! The "assistant manager" doesnt know what he`s doing half the time, the staff ,well, both of them are ok but very slow,it could explain why the pub is always near empty. I think Greene King should look into finding someone else to run it or send them on some much needed courses!!! speedy - 10 May 2007 11:59
Only been in here on matchdays, seems alright, nothing special. KingsizeSilvers - 2 Mar 2007 13:25
Looks nice inside and out, with a lovely garden.....apart from that...VERY clicky!....Only one decent bar person...nice bloke with a beard....other than that...a tiny "cuddly" woman who was obviously too scared to smile and was quite abrupt when askin what drink you wanted, and VERY intimidating when SNATCHING your money from you...not very nice at all....I later learned that this was the boss, so the place dosnt really stand a chance when other staff are clearly following in her footsteps (apart from polite bearded bloke!)...I also hear that its closing down....with a bit of luck, it'll re-open with new management....saves me going to the high road instead. Standard drinks, with a few brightly coloured bottles on display behind the bar....which nobody obviously drinks......4 out of 10.... anonymous - 19 Feb 2007 19:49
