Whats the big deal about miserable staff? You work for a nazi for minimum wage minus a charge for a rusty auld bunk, you serve amateur would be comedians, drunks, perverts, foreigners with no English and answer stupid questions 12 hours a day and lets see you hop about like the Easter bunny. These people are entitled to hate you and be miserable. If your looking for mates over a counter your a freak, just say please, thank you and jog on. Congratulations to the staff for being so miserable, you show them!!! Good work. spaceman - 30 Apr 2008 15:21
I use this pub occasionally when I meet a friend for a quick drink after work. Seems a reasonable enough pub to me and so far I have found the staff to be fine. Remarkably uncrowded as well considering its location. Gostevie - 29 Feb 2008 13:40
Billy Bragg had a regular gig here in the early 80's. People came from as far afield as Battersea. Hardly the Cavern, but still a minor slice of music history bulky - 3 Jun 2007 06:23
Used to me an acceptable place for a pint at lunch / after work...but barmaid is now even more miserable than she was before, the microwave food has gone up in price & more importantly the beer price is now in line with the rest of London. My advice is to go elsewhere if you want some atmosphere... anonymous - 24 May 2007 16:36
Fairly ordinary pubco sort of place, Bomdardier and Courage on the pumps. Fairly touristy, but you'd expect that given the location. Muzthing - 20 May 2007 15:33
