Went to this wonderful pub again last night (as I so often do on a Monday) and enjoyed 4 pints of Foster's plus a steak dinner and the weekly quiz to test the old grey matter. Got 29 out of a possible 40 which was not bad but not brilliant either - oh well better luck next time. This has to be one of the best pubs in all of Shrewsbury - try and visit it if you can.

I always come to this pub every Monday night for the quiz. Fantasttic ambience, friendly staff, good range of drinks and top-class food. John Smith's and Theakston's Mild are two permanent beers but guest ales also appear occasionally - Greene King IPA and Tetley's were on last night. Had 3 pints of IPA and 1 John Smith's after IPA ran out. Overall, an excellent pub for family gatherings, birthday parties and also for couples who just fancy an evening out.
