I worked for Tom and Tish back in 95. Chances are I served you a pint mccon59 if you remember all that. What a great pub. Although I never understood why you'd want to put walls in a tiny pub like that. I wonder if they still play Fiddy's.

This pub was the best known secret in the West End, the beer garden was open till closing time, it was a walk through pub with the fire in the middle,it catered for the MOD over the road, students from St Martin's, the musicians and actors from Blood Brothers, guys from The Borderline and The Astoria, artists who had a studio round the corner, other Licensees who wanted to have a decent pint of beer, and your ordinary joe public who wanted a decent pint (and got one) and stayed,
No music, decent food at a reasonable price, and good banter if they so chose and a nice summer evening in the beer garden.
But then Smiths went in and took over from Scottish and Newcastle who had taken it over from Courage (but at least they let the pub run as it was),
If anyone remembers Tom and Pat please puy a message up.

Stout vs Guinness - 3:2. Taste is more rich, consistence is more consistent and in general I prefer stout and cozy atmosphere of The Angel. Mike and Co are the best!!!

The beer zombie is back behind the bar. His unsmiling, unmoving countenance doesn't stop this being a great pub. Pleasantly shabby inside, good beer and even a real fire in the bit with the dartboard.

It has to be in St Giles ! I worked oposite and slightly to the right of the pub in St Giles House and went to the odd lunch time music in St Giles church to the pub's left ! This pub is also in St Giles High St ! Who is lost ? It sure as hell aint chopin or me !!!!!! ps, one of the best boozers in this (pricey) part of town.
