Historic 16th Century building on the old Roman North Road, friendly landlord who invited us to take a good look around and explained the history of the place, and nice drop of London Pride when we visited.

Country pub, roaring log fire, good home cooked food, friendly Landlord. A local frequented by local people enjoying a chat and like a good meal.
