My husband and I were looking for somewhere to eat to celebrate a special family occasion so to make sure we had chosen somewhere nice we decided to give the place a test visit before inviting the family. It was terrible. The food was burnt and swimming in grease.

There was a loud family with 5 small children that were jumping all over the furniture and crawling around on the floor near our table whilst both parents screamed continuously. We did not wait for our desserts even though we had paid in advance.

We complained but the proprietor either didn't care or was used to complaints, we were not given an apology or a refund.

Love it! Just seen the new menu additions and they're great! BBQ ribs. Yum.

Should have put this down as well we went the other day for something to eat and the quality and value for money is better than most around. We particularly like being able to sit on the sofas by the fire.

Have tried here since moving to the area and the beer is fab! You might say better than the other pub in the village, The Hoops. Now has Ruddles County on which is different to many others locally!

Friday evening visit. Car park packed with people eating in the resturant but bar area empty, possibly because of the loud music being played.
Average GK beers and a friendly barman. OK but not my sort of pub.
