please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

We didn't like it either this summer. Too much money spent on fancy upholstery and probably no attention to the basics.
I don't like going in bars mid-afternoon to see couples playing tonsil-tennis on stools at the bar. He had to stop though, so he could have a loud conversation on his mobile.
I sorely regretted walking past the bunk barn as mentioned below.

I quite often encounter this pub at the end of a walk, while waiting for the bus home. I have yet to have a positive experience of the place. Lasagne like a brick, obviously microwaved from frozen. Beer distinctly below average. Welcome? Please don't make me laugh.

Advice? Go to the Bunk Barn, 50 yards up the lane alongside the right of the river, as you turn in to the car park. Cheaper beer and better to boot.

We were very disappointed when we went out of our way to visit this 2009 GBG pub. The service was slow, they got our food order wrong, the foreign waiter made Fawlty Towers' Manuel seem competent, and the Copper Dragon Golden Pippin was luke warm because the elderly barmaid didn't pull some ale through the pipes before she pulled our beer.

On our recent visit to The New Inn Clapham we were not disapointed. Guiness and guest ales delicious. Food looked good but we didnt partake as dining times limited. Shame. Found nice local B&B/Cafe 'Brook house'to fill the gap We've visited this pub on a number of occasions at different times of the year and each visit has been very enjoyable - we are looking forward to the next!
