Nice little pub, some well kept local beer with 4 engines on,some of the usual culprits,Alton,Hogs & Ringwood all in good condition.
Trying to push the food just a bit too much......are you eating are the words at the bar & are you gasping for beer......both a little too OTT, for me..at midday Sat.
No bar snacks, full meals...only.
Nice garden, well kept, didn't eat here, just too pushey and although the bar area is cosy the dining area is dated and too formal for a rural pub.!

Lovely Pub in Upper Farringdon, have real ales FFF range, sataff very friendly had a lunchtime meal. I selected the lunchtime offer very nice the chips were soggy! Too pricy for lunchtime, cheaper to go to the deals they have in Alton town. Will go again

Excellent pub.

Nice area to eat and a nice bar as well, food and beer were very good.
What I liked most was how friendly the service was.

Well worth going out of your way to visit

We went on Saturday on the local bus tour from Alton, a very warm reception from the land lady and her staff, the pub looked very well looked after and a lovely homely feel to it. excellent variety of local beers and superb food. Definitley Hampshire's best kept secret! we will certainly be back.

Found this pub from the Good Beer Guide. The entry was well deserved. We received a very friendly welcome from the landlady and the two staff on duty. On the food side there was a good selection of light snacks - we enjoyed a couple of freshly prepared baguettes. The beer quality was excellent - I enjoyed Triple fff Alton's Pride. The pub has a pleasant garden. Highly recommended.
