| The 'Bowling Green' is leamington spa's oldest town hall. The are records of this pub trading in 1625. This makes its history very important. Not only in local history but also in UK history. It is in need of a refurb so still has its 70's decor. This does mean that it's got a lot of charm. If you are in the area please pop in. The Bowling Green, New Street Leamington Spa. | I have one thing to say about this place. Why does it even get mentioned on this web site. trains2064 - 27 Feb 2008 16:34 |
| Large lively football-orientated pub.Several large screens make this a good place to watch sports events, although the beer is not the best in the area. The pool is no longer free.Caters towards a younger crowd and fills up with large groups coparatively later in the evening. pete50 - 7 Dec 2007 09:40 |
| well this was the 1st bar/pub on our crawl and i must say it was the worst....the beer was average.. the general up keep of the place was very poor... looked like it needed a good clean... as for the toilets well i would rarther of pissed in the corner as the smell from the toilets made me feel sick.... griffle - 25 Sep 2007 14:35 |
| I used to frequent this place from 1999 to 2002. The comments below sum up my views. Good laidback studenty atmosphere, a bit rough around the edges, free pool, free duke box, buckets of bottles of beers, lock-in's a unique venue and I've been to a lot of places in my time.
