Great place for a game of killer and a few jars before a bift in stanlake on way home! TGC members regularly frequent this establishment, they are a friendly bunch apart from the one they call 'angry robert earnshaw' stay clear of him! You can tell members by their uniform browns, blue jeans, white or black shirt!

The Golden Cross (TGC) has been the long standing HQ for South Twyfordians, and TGC members alike. Led by player/manager and landlord (The Chairman), the TGC use this establishment as a base point before planning their strategic hunts in various venues across the local area.
Highly reccomended and very female friendly.

The weakest of the three (four if you count Ruscombe) pubs in the area. The inside is a bit shabby and the beer quality is often as iffy as the punters. Usually Flowers IPA and a.n.other available. There's a TV tuned in for sports and there's often a dog of some description wandering round. Given how close it is to the station I'm surprised more effort hasn't gone into making the place a more attractive prospect for those who have a 20 minute wait for a train. If this place was better Twyford would have a cracking set of pubs to choose from.

This pub is a little more "gritty" than the others that you'll find in Twyford. There are pool tables, darts and the beer is basic fare with a heavy focus on lagers. If that's your taste, you'll like it but others should avoid as there are better pubs in Twyford such as the Duke and Royal Oak.

That said, the TV is a good size and so it's fine for watching sport. It's also very close to Twyford station.
