user reviews of the Golden Cross, Twyford

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This pub is a little more "gritty" than the others that you'll find in Twyford. There are pool tables, darts and the beer is basic fare with a heavy focus on lagers. If that's your taste, you'll like it but others should avoid as there are better pubs in Twyford such as the Duke and Royal Oak.

That said, the TV is a good size and so it's fine for watching sport. It's also very close to Twyford station.

Emergency pint only. Not somewhere I'd make a special trip out for, but not necessarily a bad pub either.

This Pub is my local and I think it's great. Has a reputation for its friendly (and frequently lively) 20 - 30 somethin+ crowd.

Mark, the Land lord is a nice guy (I'll have my free pint now pls). And the other bar staff are a good laugh too.

Great cosy feel. Large TV, Pool table, nice beer garden including kids play area. Great selection of beers and real ales. What more do you want?

Well, food other than pasties & peparamies would be nice, but you can't have everything.....
