A friendly traditional pub in New Town area of the town. Embossed windows at the front of the pub show the name and an emblem. Three hand pumps were available although only two were in use today. GK IPA & Alefresco was available, with Everards Sunchaser showing as available soon. I understand that two ales are normally available. The pub appears to be owned by GRS Inns which have an advertising poster appealing for potential Landlord's and Landlady’s. The beer was only £2.50 and the Alefresco was rather tasty and refreshing. Food again was being advertised at this pub very close to the Tilly. Two TV's were in use as well as a juke box. A vending snack machine with nuts and sweets was available. Outside the toilets there was an unusual Ann Summers vending machine with many adult toys. This was in site of most of the pub so everyone would be aware of what you were up to. The outside garden and smoking area was covered from the rain on a wet night. The only downer was the amount of punters that were either the worse for drink or drugs and were annoying.

I dont know what the other people are going on about saying this is a rough pub yes it has had a few problems which you always get when a new landlord takes over but that has been sorted by getting rid of the idiots. The fact that all the bad comments are written by anon says enough takings are better than they have been for years and now there is a nice atmosphere in the pub.
