Sorry to be the bearer of bad news ... but I was there on Friday 3rd February 2012, and I can confirm that it definitely CLOSED. All the furniture and some Bar fittings and equipment have been removed. We were there actually buying some of the pub's items. SecRATary - 6 Feb 2012 00:36 |
Went past here yesterday lunchtime, but it didn't appear to be open. The_Heavy_Fandango - 11 Sep 2011 07:06
this is a wonderful place to spend some of your time, i regularly travel 2-3 miles to get there passing many pubs on the way because quite frankly its the best pub i've come across in a very long time and well worth a visit , a great selection of beers & ciders and guarenteed a fantastic welcome sunman - 19 May 2010 15:08
Went there on Saturday with two friends. Lovely place and friendly staff but after that it was downhill all the way. Should have guessed by lack of customers on a Saturday night ! Firstly they had run out of draught cider (a must for a Somerset pub). Meal choice was very limited, about half of what was offered on the printed menu outside the door. Three of us chose rabbit to be then told they had run out of this - rather strange as we were the first diners that evening. There followed a passable meal of pub fare but at inflated restaurant prices. When we came to pay we were told that the card machine was out of action and had been for some time. Fortunately, our friends had enough cash and I had thought to bring my cheque book. However, I would have thought it would have been a good idea to warn me when I originally booked, or to at least mention it when we arrived. I have a feeling that there is definitely something wrong here. dinerx2 - 27 Apr 2010 15:48
We went there on a friday night at the end of june and you couldn't have got another human being in the place. They seem to do lots of events. I think its really good value...under £7 quid for a meal and a drink plus a summer menu with lots of choice. £2.70 for a pint hardly expensive. lizzie_100 - 21 Jul 2009 19:47
