Potentially cracking pub let down by average beer and indifferent 'Brakes Bros' style food.
What appeared to be the landlady, enquired patronisingly of a Japanese tourist studying the incomprehensible menu(IN A BASIL FAWLTY STYLE LOUD NORTHERN ACCENT) "No speak English Luvee??

Despite its location almost nothing to commend this pub with a landlord displaying a terrible attitude to customers. A visit on Saturday for a last pint where a pint and a glass of wine was expensive ...... landlord opined that his business was only about selling to tourists, occasional students and "very few" locals. When further prompted acknowledged that he didn't care at all about locals as they are so unimportant to his business. Beer was OK, wine was undrinkable, attitude was terrible. Don't disappoint the guy by trying to become a local you wont be valued. If on a visit to Cambridge avoid it and go to a place which at least pretends you are important...........

A decent glass of Broadside. I say "glass", because this pub seems incapable of serving a PINT of ale. It was pulled with a huge head, and when asked to top it up, the barman just held it in the general direction of the hand pump, rather than actually doing his job properly !

Visited on a rainy may bank holiday. Staff not freindly by far and the most expensive ale of the 5 I had in Cambridge on the day at £3.30 a pint.
