Despite Lloyd's insistence that there never has and never will be a 'happy' hour in his world, this is still the best pub in the local area by a long shot. Upon first stepping in this place can seem a little intimidating, however this is solely due to it being very much a locals' pub. Within an incredibly short while of moving to the area myself and my girlfriend were both made to feel totally welcome. Including the fish and cheese Sundays! Above all this place sells bitter and shows all the rugby. Great. leigham_local - 23 May 2008 09:25
Used to come here when I was younger, best place to drink in the shithole that is Streatham. Does what it says on the tin, with an utter lack of pretension. Good memories. ChrisP87 - 25 Apr 2008 14:35
Best bar in Streatham without a doubt - used to be my local and I spent far too long (and far too much money!!) in there chatting away to the locals!!! Rossco - 21 Jun 2007 11:35
This place is great. Only just discovered cheeky beer garden at the back. Bar staff friendly and leave you to do your thing. Deff best place to drink in Streatham. Nora - 18 Apr 2007 10:00
A great little local boozer, full of a wide range of local characters, changing throughout the day - and yeah, unpretentious. Each bar has a very different character, but seem to happily coexist: the two back bars are young, football and lager orientated; the lounge is comfy, relaxed, shabby, friendly, full of old geezers, posties, and even the odd long haired Guardian reading arty type. My pint has usually been well kept - tho' haven't tried the fosters or the lagers tops ;) Bar staff are great too. Like the quirkily painted wall panels too. Yup. A proper boozer of old. rachaelov - 17 Dec 2006 11:58
