It is a nice looking pub , and the beer choice and service isnt bad . Theyve certainly tried to add to the content with nice food and live music . It was also a venue at the fringe this year . i suppose if you had to choose a pub on broughton st it would be between here and the basement - But the toilets here are a joke and some of the crowd in here are a bit on the wanky side . beersteer - 18 Jan 2010 18:01
So sad to be doing GBG pubs in Edinburgh, and being refused admission to this pub in opening hours because we did not have a ticket for the Fringe event that was taking place in the pub. gillhalfpint - 16 Aug 2009 18:39
Good looking New Town pub adorned with large mirrors from old breweries and a nice tiled wall, although open-plan. The atmosphere was pleasant and the fire is a nice touch in winter. Several ales to choose from, in fine form on my visit Didn't try the food but it looked good. One of the better pubs in the area. Carlurmston - 4 Feb 2009 13:05
Late comment from August. Enjoyed my Davenports beer brewed a few miles from home but a new one for me. gillhalfpint - 15 Jan 2009 10:05
Interesting interior (especially the tiles), pleasant enough pub with decent beer. Nice to pop in for a quiet beer while in that part of town. ETA - 25 Nov 2008 16:20
