user reviews of the Crown Inn, Uploders

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Very small inside and ditto with the beer garden and car park
A locals place by the looks of it as although it’s situated just off the A35 it’s not advertised
Only a few people were in,none whom we’re eating but there was a delightful lingering scent so clearly people had been earlier
Lots of ales on hand pumps but I forgot to check the cider selection
There were also plenty of vintage military and police hats and helmets by the toilets so you can take a few selfies of yourself wearing them

Went here yesterday and thought it was very, very good. The food is delicious! if a little expensive, but hey, if you want fresh, home cooked good food i guess you have to pay for it! Lovely warm, friendly atmosphere. We are definately returning. Would have given it a 10 if it was slightly cheaper. Well done the Crown.

Lovely pub with friendly staff and great beer (Palmers). Didn't eat there but food looked good and others have said excellent.

Visited on 16 Dec 2006. Great food and a superb pint of Palmers Copper Ale. I had forgotton that this beer can actually be quite good if served well. Have obviously spent too much time in Bridport where it's generally rubbish. A great pub that deserves all the praise it gets. Hops around the bar - good mixed clientele and very pleasant country pub surroundings.
