Went in again recently on a day out with teh girlfirend had such a good time ended up staying over in York teh night as were comfortable on the sofas relaxing to the music. zamora250 - 26 Apr 2009 13:31
I like the music in here, but a bit steep price wise. As has previously been mentioned, it's a Thwaites house which are not commonplace in York; so it does have a small following of dedicated locals, along with the Indy kids. MountainMan - 26 Feb 2009 14:25
Interesting music venue. Piped music can be very loud (my twenty year old son and his mates have stopped going there because they cannot here themselves think). Me, I don't want to think or talk when listening to a band, and this can be very relaxing - nice mezzanine above the band area. freepaul - 9 May 2008 17:42
Decent venue not at all what you expect from teh outside - being a big early-mid ninties indie fan in my late teens just had to visit even though just notched up my 30th - service ok - there was a band setting up but others in the party wanted to move on - beer wise nothing special but standard fair and what i would think a good night out if it's your bag. zamora250 - 27 Apr 2007 21:10
A nice enough bar, obviously themed at an indie / ninties bands idea. Often puts on live music, and band evenings so pretty good. Is also a thwaites house, so beer is fairly good. However, it can end up a bit takcy + sticky on a busy evening, piped music far too loud, (very) young crowd looking super indie, and waiting on the door. Has a late license. alistair_cross - 10 Mar 2006 11:11
