My wife and I dined here on our 41st anniversary and it was wonderful. The food (£10.50 for a 3 course meal) was absolutely delightful and plenty of it. I asked for a cushion for the wooden chair and they brought two! The waitres was so helpful, you could not ask for more. Make a detour and call here. You will not be disappointed. lessandvera - 22 Sep 2009 20:24
Shame that this pub seems to be getting progressively worse. We recently went for an evening meal and found the menu to be limited with cheap deals on offer. Unfortunately the standard was poor and it'll be our last visit. scoreoutoften - 19 Sep 2009 18:26
This is a cracking pub with a varied menu and well presented food.We are booked for New Years Day and looking forward to going back. timcairns - 10 Dec 2007 22:54
Smashing friendly pub run by Maggie. I eat there fairly regularly and the food is excellent. Probably best to book at weekend evenings though the restaurant is open from 12 noon to 3.00pm and 6.00pm to 9.00pm on Fridays, 12noon to 9.00pm on Saturdays and 12noon to 8.00pm on Sundays. Two good real ales as well! paulrob - 8 Feb 2006 15:10
This is one of the best pubs i have ever been in it has lots of charm and is really cosy in the winter when the log fires are burning. The food is very good home cooked and lots of it. Only been on a Monday so don't know how busy weekends are and is reasonably priced. Well worth the visit. MISSEATS - 7 Feb 2006 16:14
