If you like arrogant, RUDE staff then this is the place for you. There seem to be two levels of service; a) IGNORE you & talk to their mates, or b) IGNORANCE and arrogance should they deign to serve you. It seems incredible that someone would employ someone in a customer-facing position that has the manners of a baboon. But here - they do. And from the genuine reviews below, it seems this awful service has been going on for quite some time at this dive. AVOID at all costs. MRDGreen - 21 Jan 2012 10:06
Nice cosy feel, with a good selection of well kept Fullers ales, ESB was good. Lots of rugby memorabilia on the walls. Not sure where some of the offensive reviews below come from but I'd ignore them this is a decent pub. OldRogue - 2 Jan 2012 17:07
I think the Sun's a great little place. It's an old-school boozer with no pretensions and the staff put emphasis on getting to know their regulars. They don't make 'em like they used to. beerdrinkingtart - 1 Jan 2012 19:43
You are obviously from a rival pub, the sun inn has never attracted 'CHAVS' it is a superb rugger pub, for all those reading these reviews please be aware of other local pubs jealousy of this long running fine establishment, if you require a real pub with real beer & real people then this is the place to go, otherwise go to the pubs suggested by 'Trapdoor' & 'Luta'.........which they obviously don't mention in order to not incriminate the pub(s) they represent, imbeciles. bernardmatthews - 22 Jul 2011 10:12
I would have to agree with Luta; the staff are to customer relations what Hitler was to the jews. And as for the punters, well if you wear Burberry and are a chav teenager who can't handle his/her booze then you're in the right venue... Trapdoor - 20 Apr 2011 17:33
