| This pub has new people in charge, young couple with loads of energy. good menu with big portions. Nice beer and nice atmoshpere. Forget all previous comments. I_ate_all_the_pies - 19 Mar 2008 17:11 |
| Not a drinking pub so beer is mediocre. Landlord prefers diners (It was the only pub in the village to close during the afternoon on the day of the Adderbury Beer Festival!?!).It relies on trade from the nearby caravan park although many prefer to go into the centre of the village to the Bell because of its award winning cask ale and food. | Took the missus for a meal at this pub. Was "welcomed" at the bar by the landlord who came across as sarcastic and abrasive. Seemed to want to bizarrely score points for no reason whatsoever. Sat down and looked at an un - inspiring menu before leaving a fiver to cover the drinks and going somewhere much better. This place used to be alright. LeeLeeLaRoosh - 5 Oct 2007 11:45 |
| taken over in november 2006 by a lovely guy called chris and his very talented chef ..dave,brilliant decor, good beer, delightful food.....but DO NOT ask for onion rings or you will be asked to leave by dave. gladders - 16 Feb 2007 08:50 |
| This pub has recently undergone a facelift and it is much improved. Chas Wells beers plus a guest. The trade seems to be improving and the beer was quite decent. Still quiet, the menu seems quite good and reasonable. Worth a visit. imdownthepub - 25 Feb 2006 09:38 |
