Would be good to review this pub, but it would need to be open when you visit, very restricted opening hours.

Pretty close to pub and beer heaven, our first visit last weekend won't be the last. The quality of the beer and good friendly service put the misery of another home defeat at Portman Road to the back of our minds. Adnams New Zealand Pale and Salopian Icon were excellent, and my wife's Brewshed American Blonde was very good too. 5 more beers, and the board of what was on next was mouth watering as well.
A proper pub, busy with discerning customers enjoying top-notch beers.

Turned up at the Beer House in order to get the train - didn't have enough ime to do it justice as they had a beer festival on!! Range of beers was awesome, though I understand when no festival on their selection is good anyway. Everything I sampled was in excellent condition, well served by knowledgeable staff. Good thing was, there were plenty of people drinking who not participating in the festival, so I'm presuming it's a "good" pub. Will have to revisit when it hasn't got a festival on to see for myself.

Great pub this - nice welcoming interior, really good service and best of all, an excellent choice of ever-changing real ales (a refreshing change in Bury St Edmunds). Really good modern take on what is now an old-fashioned concept.

They've also recently opened their own micro-brewery, which is great news.

Just made another visit to the Beerhouse - still call Ipswich Arms on this site! - what a choice of ever changing real ales (7). Not too busy last night, but could become v popular. Have found the pub on twitter @burybeerhouse. The landlord knows his beers and as you can see from the walls - over 350 beers sered since they opened in July 2010. Also Suffolk CAMRA pub of the month, but don't this put you off ! (LOL)
