| Still has the look of a pub and is nicely located. However, the owners have turned it into a bed and breakfast. So this place is now closed. I can recommend the Fox at Shadingfield instead. | Visited on the evening of 29 August 22:00. Long Bar with high ceilings. Pool area (balls not water)with small bar and a longer bar past the central fireplace stack. Lots of wood beams - mostly structural rather than showily "distressed". Pub was licensed until 12:00, didn't find this out until asking for a takeaway though.
