Lovely setting.....but...can't really comment except that it didn't open till 7pm...we were one of several cars that came and went....missing a trick here...so go late in evening or at lunchtime to avoid a wasted journey...

We continually fine ourselves drawn back to this pub, not only by the lovely landlady and her terrific team, but also by the food which is consistently superb. Nice to see that there are also guest beers appearing now such as TEA from the Hogs Back Brewery.

Visited at the weekend. Only two ales on, my pint tasted odd, but was changed with no bother. Food was tasty if a little pricey, but typical for area. All staff were really friendly. If the sun shines this summer try the beer garden for great views of the downs. Overall I would say the emphasis is on food and wine here, and a visit to their website confirms this with no mention of ales.

We visited before Christmas and found the choice of beers limited (Kings of Horsham only) but the quality of the beer fine. Menu looks good but the place is a bit staid and stuffy. On the plus side, the location is spectacular, right in the lee of the downs, with great views from the garden. Good place for a sunny spring or summer day, perhaps combined with a walk.

Quaint country pub but unimaginative selection of beer.
