Whilst revisiting old childhood memories of the area with my brother, we looked in for a quick pint. Had a nice atmosphere.

A nice interior and beer garden tucked away around the back. Four ales on offer and the food was very nice. My only gripe would be that the food was fairly slow in arriving (about an hour), although admittedly the serving staff warned us when we ordered, it was a Sunday lunch and they were completely full, so perhaps I should be more patient! Overall, a very good option if you're in the area.

After searching for somewhere to eat and drink, having spent the day on the coast, we stopped by because the pub looked so attractive. What a good decision!!! Friendly staff and very welcoming. I had the Haddock and chips - which at £11 needed to be pretty special - and it was!! And my wife had Duck Confit which again was excellent.

Great selection of ales - I had Dark Star Best, Horsham Bitter, and Arundel Gold, all were absolutely perfect!!

Will make The Cricketers my first choice when in the area - just wish it was closer to home - may have to consider moving!!

Visited with rentaquote who forgot to mention friendly bar staff and excellent dessert!

In fact we loved the place so much on Saturday evenng that we came back on Sunday for lunch in their lovely garden.

Charming traditional roadside pub with low beamed ceilings and nice garden. Great beer selection featuring Horsham bitter, Betty Stogs and Yellow Hammer. Decent food too (served weekday lunchtimes and evenings, and right through from 12-9pm on Saturdays and Sundays). This lovely pub deserves to be a lot busier.

The Cricketers was once owned by John Wisden, founder of the Wisdens cricketing almanac.
