A definite pub of character and one of the better bets in the area. It is located a fair way from the town centre, which might be no bad thing. I found the condition of the fff ales a bit below what I would expect from a brewery tap (on a quiet tuesday lunchtime , admittedly) Uncle_Dunkel - 29 Nov 2011 17:33
nice friendly pub and good ales andy49 - 7 May 2011 22:08
Standard street corner local (and there ain't too many of them around these days) serving decent Triple F ales and the odd guest beer. The Alton Pride was a good pint - a solid proper pub with decent ale. Snarling_Mallard - 26 Mar 2011 22:49
Good beer but some odd customers. beershot - 4 Jan 2011 13:18
This pub is the Aldershot tap for the fff brewery (Alton). Pub itself is a bog standard "town" pub. Pretty dull outside, inside decor similarly-but clean, food bog standard (but cheap). BUT if you like fff brewery (I do) then this is worth a visit ANY time. My visit was a quiet lunch-time. Pressed Rat excellent. Barmaid had nose buried in paper (opposite bloke doing the same - looked like a couple that had just had an argument!?). Just wish I lived a bit closer and I hope the thin lunch-time client count was not indicative of a big problem. musicrab - 27 Jun 2010 23:39
