First of all is the greeting you get from the staff, its like your part of a family, their family. then there is he nostalgia of the Traff as its locally known the place is steeped in history with conections to the Parachute Regiment and its attached regiments and battalions, Armed Forces day the Traff is heaving with people from all over the world, and I mean from all over the World. If your a visiter to Aldershot then this is the place to go to find out all about the history of the armed forces that used to be in "the shot" (Loll the Landlady ) can tell you most of the stories some will make you laugh and some will make you cry but there is a comraderie that the Traff will always be there for you the serving soldier, and those that have gone on before you that are with affection remebered. GREAT BEER, GREAT BANTER, GREAT PUB. Robbie.H - 7 Jul 2011 08:52
Still a great little boozer, steeped in military tradition and history, you can't beat the Traf. Very friendly patrons and staff, jukebox and pool table. King_Viv - 9 Feb 2011 18:10
This is my all time favourite pub, no frills, no bullcrap, no young idiots. I used to drink here constantly years ago and still visit now and again, brilliant honest proper pub. trekliquid55 - 18 Jul 2010 20:13
The Traf, Christ what a place. I used to gig there every Wednesday evening then on Saturdays with Ron O'Dell and Davy Phelps from about 86 to late 88 when I got posted. Had some bloody good times, especially Wednesdays when he rugby teams used to come in. Phenomenal amount of beer drunk and dosh taken over the bar. If anyone knows Davy or Ron, pass on my greeting to them and ask them to get in touch. bridge324 - 10 May 2010 19:19
