| This is a tiny, quaint little stone built pub. Was always very friendly & good both lunchtimes & evenings.Rough patch resulted in temporary closure. Now thankfully reopened with nice new couple and locals once again happy to eat & drink there enjoying the cosy and friendly atmosphere.Great for visitors too especially if you're walking or cycling in the Alice Holt Forest as it's a short walk from the main Visitor Centre. Shame not open all afternoon on Sundays.Easy to find: bang on the A325 in the middle of the stretch that runs through the Forest.Short drive from "Birdworld" and way better than "The Miller's Kitchen" Harvester-style grot-pub at Holt Pound which is grim.
