Went in last night, the pub had a beer festival on, the beers were fantastic. There was lots of live music, the pub was very busy and obviously picking up a lot of local trade now. Everybody seemed to be having such a good time.

This is not a very friendly establishment landlords Frosty to say the least
not what your looking for when having a night out with friends makes you feel very uncomfatable. The car park looks like a small bomb has gone off with rubble, bricks all over the area
I would have liked something to eat but didn't fancy chancing it.

Avoid!!!!

Plenty of other lovely pubs you could visit.

Went here with the Wife this Saturday at around 9.30pm to try the Ringwood which I noted here was on offer, the pub was closed, despite the sign declaring 11pm closing time. I thought the pub had closed permanently but it seems that when he is quiet he chooses to close, what an attitude.
I shant be trying that again there are much better pubs locally where the business is appreciated by Landlords who are prepared to make an effort.

This pub/eatery has a problem sorry many problems namely the outside area to the rear of the building, It would appear to have building fabric/Bricks etc.. covering the car park area and a removed outdoor seating area and what looks like a small bonfire/traffic cones not very welcoming site to see on arrival.
As for the landlord extremely rude and discourteous.

There is one and only one positive note to add the food was adequate

I would not recommend this Establishment to anyone.

Excellent beer, friendly atmosphere and very good food. I went in for a quick pint the other day with a friend, but eventually left a few hours later. The company was good and there was a nice range of beers from the Banks and Taylor Brewery as well as the more common brews such as Ringwood and Breakspears. The pub is a lot smaller than it was when I went for a meal with my wife some time back, but this has only added to the ambiense. I can only say that if you've not tried it, it's well worth a visit and the food comes recommended.
