| The Magna Carta was very busy when we arrived but we were promtly served by friendly bar staff. The cask beers were both in good form. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for several drinks. The pub was clean and we could not fault it. Jo the licensee is obviously doing a great job and we will certainly visit again the next time we come to Lincoln markh737 - 8 Jun 2008 18:03 |
| I really liked this pub. The food was good, toilets clean and staff friendly. Had a pint of Marstons which slid down well and the pub decor wasn't too over the top. After the climb up Steep Hill it's worth visiting and having a well earned pint... 8/10 wezmiester - 4 Feb 2008 20:01 |
| cheap and cheerfull. I was on a pub crawl at the weekend, me and a group of mates had a quick cocktail but thought it was quite freindly and affordable although a bit tiered on the inside. thedevil - 29 Aug 2007 14:57 |
| If you're a local and fancy a good quality pint in a quiet friendly pub DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Unfriendly, dirty and the beer glasses smelt of sick so haven't cleaned the lines in ages, had to walk past all the staff standing the entrance fagging and then tutting cause I might want serving! | Two historical old buildings in the centre of Lincoln, right between the castle and the cathedral, were unsympathetically knocked together by Mansfield Breweries in the 1990's to create a hideous mock tudor interior resembling a 1970's Beefeater. The achitect who designed this conversion should get a special visit from the man with a baseball bat. SilkTork - 9 Oct 2005 17:23 |
